Clepsydra

The Iberians used a device called a clepsydra, which was used to aerate wine during celebrations. This object was a symbol of power for the family that hosted social events where the clepsydra was the center of attention. The origin of its name means "water thief," since the wine is contained in a small unit, which is used to decant directly into the glass.


Julieta Wibel completely redesigns the clepsydra, adding a container with the same capacity as a wine bottle, and the clepsydra with the capacity of a glass. Thus, the Clepsydra alludes to the Mediterranean amphora.
