MathT(h)rash (MT(H)) is an interactive art installation presented at Sónar+D 2025, translating the manifesto by Julieta Wibel and Miguel Ángel Fernández Jiménez into a physical and sensory environment.
The piece investigates the convergence of digital aesthetics, technological processes, trash culture, and material craft, proposing a post-digital reading of contemporary creation through ceramics, electronics, metalwork, and interactive media.
At Seis Punyales, we designed and engineered the structural system: treated round carbon steel tubing assembled with 30 custom truss joints, ensuring precision and adaptability. The structure is anchored by two large rocks acting both as counterweights and as symbolic cores. Beyond its physical framework, we also created interactive visual and sound experiences, amplifying the installation’s sensory impact and reinforcing the dialogue between digital processes and material presence. The result is a hybrid system where complexity, accumulation, distortion, and error are not only embraced but elevated as defining aesthetic principles.
I wrote here the brief description of the manifesto: what it is about, the context or the intention behind the document.
